Local Area Information
Stonington, CT
Stonington CT is all the villages and area from the Mystic River to the border of Rhode Island. It includes half of Mystic along with Pawcatuck, Masons Island, Lords Point, Stonington Borough and spans up to the border of North Stonington. Homes here range from affordable recently built homes, to historic, waterfront, horse property and estate homes. It is a very diverse area with each village having its own unique flair. Its proximity to Rhode Island's sandy beaches, I-95, the Sub base, casinos and other area employers along with its many housing choices make Stonington one of the most desireable places in Connecticut to settle down.
Stonington Borough, CT
Stonington Borough is located in the center of Stonington CT. It is an older town so passing zoning for new construction can be very difficult. Thus, the existing Stonington Borough Properties are very desired. Many Early American, Civil War Era, Federalist, and Early 20th Century Homes can be found with several being on the Historic Society Register and many waterfront and waterview. Residents and visitors alike, enjoy being able to walk to “downtown” and the waterfront, and there is an active boating community. “The Borough” has a very lively cultural element with parades, art shows, festivals, and more. During the summertime, there is always something happening here. There is a scenic waterfront, docks, little shops and boutiques, parks, museums, historic homes and more.
Pawcatuck, CT
Pawcatuck CT is located on the Western side of Stonington and borders Rhode Island. There are many affordable homes here, as well as newer subdivisions, and some more rural properties. From some parts of Pawcatuck, you can walk to downtown Westerly, RI a city with a very active cultural community. Also, Pawcatuck has the closest proximity of all CT towns to those pristine, sandy Rhode Island beaches.
Mystic, CT
Mystic , CT is an old Whaling village along the Mystic river. Yankee heritage is visible everywhere -- in charming villages surrounding classic town greens; scenic farm roads and ancient stone walls; waterfronts bustling with fishermen, ferries, and yachts. And here, like nowhere else in New England, you'll find a wealth of attractions and events of all sizes, appealing to all ages and interests. Mystic is actually part of two separate towns, Groton (west of the Mystic River) and Stonington (East of the Mystic River). Mystic also divided into three parts West Mystic, Old Mystic and Mystic. There are many historic New England homes here, with Early American, Federalist, and Victorian some of the many styles you will see. Waterfront, Water views or private settings are all easy to find. Mystic real estate is always in high demand dues to the wonderful culture here, as well as proximity to RI beaches, the Sub base, I-95, the casinos, and other area employers. Noank is to the south and Groton Long Point is south west of Noank.
Lord's Point, CT
Lord’s Point CT is a private community located on one of the “fingers” reaching into the ocean in Stonington, CT. Stonington, CT is east of the Mystic River. Lord’s Point has both year round and seasonal occupants. There is a private beach, tennis courts, and a recreation field along with docking rights for many of its residences. Lord’s Point has beautiful of views the water, and Long Island Sound. Real estate here is in high demand, due to the privacy of the community.
Mason's Island
Masons Island CT is located on the east side of the mouth of the Mystic River. It was owned by the Mason family for 125 years and has been primarily used for farming and recreation. Masons Island real estate is known for its historic flavor, water views and desireable waterfront property. The Masons Island Yacht Club offers sailing, swimming, tennis and bocce lessons.
Groton
Groton CT consists of all the properties and towns from the Mystic River to the New London River. Groton Connecticut can also include; West Mystic, Noank, Mumford Cove, Groton Long Point, City Of Groton, and Eastern Point. Framed by the Thames River and the Mystic River, Groton is notable for its shores on Long Island Sound, just east of the end of Long Island. Both State and Municipal parks provide abundant access and views of the water.
Groton is the home of the great US Naval Submarine Base, the Global Research and Development campus of Pfizer, Inc., and the submarine construction facilities of the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics, Inc. Other industries in our town range from a traditional fishing boat fleet to advanced medical supply manufacturing. The recent completion of the University of Connecticut Marine Sciences center at Avery Point, with its related enterprises, gives Groton a unique place among centers of science and learning. Real estate here is varied, from small ranches and condominiums, to historic property, horse property, and large estate homes, there is something for everyone.
Groton Long Point, CT
Groton Long point CT is a community with a private association located on a Peninsula in Long Island Sound south of Noank and west of the mystic river. Groton Long Point has beautiful homes overlooking Long Island Sound, with excellent water front properties. Homes range from modest cottages and bungalows, to stately homes and mansions. All Homeowners are members of the Association which maintains its beaches Main Beach, Kiddie Beach and South Beach. The “lagoon” has boat moorings and docks, with a very protected anchorage. The Groton Long Point Yacht Club here offers a lot of activities such as tennis, sailing, and swimming lessons and also is in charge of moorings and dock space.
Noank, CT
Noank, CT is a little village located on the west bank of the Mystic River near the mouth. Noank is a very old town with speed limits of 15mph, narrow roads, and charming homes. The Noank community is very close and everything is within walking distance. The fishing sailboat known as the “Noank Smack” was developed here. Charming and Quaint, the real estate in this village attracts many.
Eastern Point, CT
Eastern Point CT is a sheltered, historic community buffererd by a Golf Course and Connecticut’s spectacular coastline and adjacent to Connecticut College Avery Point. It has one of the oldest Homeowners Associations continuously in existence in the United States, and current dues run a whopping $10 per year. Scenic views abound of where the Thames River meets the Long Island Sound. It is not unusual to see families strolling babies or walking their dogs through this picturesque neighborhood. Walk down to Eastern Point Beach, a lovely, family oriented beach with minimal amenities and seasonal supervised swimming. There are many historic homes ranging from the relatively modest cottages of the 1870’s to turn-of-the-century mansions overlooking the mouth of the Thames River.
Mumford Cove, CT
Mumford Cove is part of Groton, CT located west of Mystic. It is a small private community that has its own parks, canal, beaches, docks, tennis courts and more. Mumford Cove has lovely homes, most of which are located either directly on the water or have canals going to their back doors. Real Estate here is very desireable, and Mumford Cove is one of Connecticut’s best kept secrets.
Ledyard, CT
Ledyard, CT is a suburban community within a quiet rural niche of Southeastern Connecticut. Abundant single-family residences, separated by numerous red maple swamps and rocky, rugged uplands characterize the settlement of Ledyard. Ledyard offers space for Industrial Parks, Commercial Design Districts, and Horse Farms with ample residential areas for families to live and grow. The community emphasizes our historical heritage and traditional New England themes. The community strongly supports planned economic development, and has prime commerical areas along Route 12, Ledyard Center, and along Route 117, all within a few miles of Interstate 95. It’s proximity to Foxwoods, Pfizer, Electric Boat and the Sub Base, make this town an ideal place to settle.
East Lyme, CT
East Lyme, CT is located between the Niantic River and Old Lyme. It has several villages such as Niantic, Black Point, and Giant’s Neck. East Lyme is a quaint seaside village community on the beautiful Connecticut shoreline, located just 20 minutes south of. Unique shops, great restaurants, a mile-long Boardwalk overlooking beautiful Long Island Sound, and special events throughout the year are just some of the reasons why real estate is in high demand here. There are many waterfront and waterview properties, as well as many other home choices.
Niantic, CT
Niantic is one of the largest villages within East Lyme, CT and consists of the south east corner of the town. Stretching most of the west side of the Niantic River it has unobstructed access to Long Island Sound. Niantic Village is a popular summer retreat for many vacationers looking for shopping and water views, as well as many wanting a year round residence.
Giant's Neck, CT
Giant's Neck is a waterfront village in East Lyme, CT. It is located in the southern part of E Lyme and boarders Rocky Neck State Park. With quiet streets and excellent beaches, it’s a great place for a summer cottage or a coastal home.
Black Point, CT
Black Point is at the very mouth of the Niantic River in East Lyme, CT. It is surrounded on three sides by water and boasts some spectacular waterfront properties. There are a number of private beaches for residents to use during the summer.

Personal
I'm a Southern Rhode Island native! I was born and raised in the local area. My youth was filled with extra-curricular activities and organizations centered around school, scouting and athletics. I graduated from University of Rhode Island with a bachelor's degree in Economics and English.
Current hobbies of mine include spending time with my family including my six children, traveling, participating in my childrens' extra-curricular and sporting activities and volunteering with girl scouts and other charitable organizations. |
